Earlier in the week, businessman Andy Gronik (D) announced his gubernatorial candidacy hoping to deny Gov. Scott Walker (R) a third term. Now, Mahlon Mitchell, president of the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin association, says he is seriously considering joining the race. Mr. Mitchell was the Democratic nominee for Lt. Governor in the 2012 re-call campaign, losing to incumbent Rebecca Kleefisch (R), 53-47%. Gov. Walker has not yet announced that he will seek re-election but all indications suggest that he will. He would be favored to win again next year should he enter the race.
