Two US House members originally stated they would decide by the end of April if they would run statewide in 2018. Now, both have postponed their decisions. Reps. Rick Nolan (D-MN) and Joaquin Castro (D-TX) say they will decide about running for Governor and US Senate in their respective states at a later time. Neither ruled out running, nor did they announce their statewide candidacies. Should both decide to run, they would each face strong already announced Democratic primary opponents who are actively running for the statewide nomination.
