A new Suffolk University poll (9/5-10; 500 NV likely voters) confirms a dead heat race between Sen. Dean Heller (R) and Rep. Jacky Rosen (D-Henderson). This survey projects Ms. Rosen clinging to the smallest of edges, 41.6 (208 respondent votes) to 41.2% (206 respondent votes) on the ballot test question.
The polling sample may have a slight Republican skew, however. In answering the 2016 presidential vote question, 42.8% responded supporting Hillary Clinton in comparison to 42.4% saying they backed Donald Trump. In reality, the actual Nevada vote was 47.9% to 45.5% in Ms. Clinton’s favor. Therefore, it is reasonable to surmise that Ms. Rosen’s lead might be slightly larger than the Suffolk poll suggests.
