While saying she would yield to Rep. Joaquin Castro (D-San Antonio) in a battle against Sen. John Cornyn (R), former state Senator and 2014 gubernatorial nominee Wendy Davis (D) confirmed that she would consider running for Senate if Mr. Castro decides to remain in the House. Congressional candidate M.J. Hegar (D) also said that she would yield to Ms. Davis if the latter woman were to run. The emergence of ex-Senator Davis would likely be a welcome sight for Sen.
