Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said yesterday that he will decide within three weeks whether to enter the presidential campaign. Most observers expect him to become a candidate. If he does, the multi-billionaire is pledging to spend $500 million of his own money to advance his drive to win the Presidency.
There is little question that Mr. Bloomberg will be able to communicate his message, but it remains to be seen just how well the Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-Independent-turned Democrat will resonate with Democratic primary voters who generally punish ideological inconsistency.
