In a rare poll of the open Minnesota Governor’s race since the August 14th primary, the Minneapolis Star Tribune newspaper released their Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey (9/10-12; 800 MN likely voters) that posts the south Minnesota Congressman to a 45-36% lead over Hennepin County Commissioner and 2014 Republican gubernatorial nominee Jeff Johnson.
The polling data provides us some potential reasoning to why the Republican Governors’ Association just cancelled a wave of advertising they had reserved on Johnson’s behalf. But, they still plan to spend substantial money in supporting the GOP nominee.
